SMWC Ranks Among America's Best Colleges by U.S. News and World Report
Saint Mary of the Woods, IN (09/26/2024) — Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (SMWC) has once again been recognized among the top institutions in "America's Best Colleges" by U.S. News & World Report. SMWC is ranked as one of the Best Regional Universities in the Midwest. The 2025 rankings were released earlier in the week.

The rankings are based on academic quality, the amount of financial aid with grants and scholarships to full-time undergraduate students and the graduation rates of first-generation and Pell-Grant awarded college students.
This is the 16th consecutive year SMWC has been included in the U.S. News & World Report Rankings for America's Best Colleges. "This is a testament to the quality of education SMWC offers students. The faculty are committed to providing the best student experience both in and out of the classroom," said Janet Clark, Ph.D., provost/executive vice president for academic affairs.
Throughout the past year, SMWC has added several academic programs such as a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, a Master of Science in Equine Science and Paramedic Science to BSN. In August, the College celebrated one of the largest incoming classes and the second-highest total campus enrollment in SMWC's history.
